Night at the BIG TOP!

We gave Connor tickets to the circus (and a chain for counting down to the night of the big event) for his 5th birthday. We got a great deal on opening night, so Jon, Connor, Anderson, and I headed out for some fun. Kyndall had a date with Grandma Hart, and she came with circus toys in hand. Much more fun for her . . . and us!

We started off with McDonald's! Thanks to Aunt Regina and Uncle Phillip, Connor got to use his special giftcard and even got to choose a Happy Meal with a toy . . . a treat for sure!

We had great seats and a great time! The boys can't decide between the elephants, tigers, and clowns as their favorite. I guess that is a good sign! It was fun to do something different and exciting together. What a great time and a great memory for all of us!!

June loving!

There has been a lot of loving at our house . . . and some that I managed to catch with my camera! Yay! I love capturing sweet moments . . . they get me through the "not so sweet" ones that seem to happen just as often. Oh my.

VBS (Vacation Bible School) love! The boys LOVED their classes at VBS. Connor was with the Kindergarten kids and part of the main group this year. Anderson loved his preschool class . . . especially because he got to hang out with his cousin Tyler! FUN!

Book love! Kyndall LOVES books! I guess she is with the right family! Yay! She will bring a book to be read to anyone she thinks will read it to her. This day she found Connor. What a sport!

2/2011 Kyndall and I were chatting while eating a snack. Somehow, our thoughts got onto how God made us. I said, "Did you know that God made you because He wanted a Kyndall just like you?" She immediately said, "Yep! And HERE I AM!" Then popped another Goldfish into her mouth. My heart is smiling. I am so glad that SHE IS HERE. ------------------------------------------ 10/2010 Connor was so bummed his friend and Andy wouldn't play football with him. They wanted to play school. Somehow Connor got to be the teacher. He said it was time for PE. Guess what they played? Oh my. ------------------------------------------ 4/2010 In the highest pitched voice EVER, Kyndall prayed, "Thank you God for my brothers and for my binkie. In Jesus' name, AMEN!" Oh my. ------------------------------------------- 2/2010 Anderson put away his plate after lunch and I just said, "That's my Andy!" Kyndall got a grumpy look and said, "NO! My Andy!!!" She does love her brother for sure! ------------------------------------------- 12/2009 Anderson told me that the bracelets I was wearing to church this morning were beautiful. I told him thank you and that Daddy had given them to me for Christmas. Without skipping a beat, he asked, "Did Dad get them at Peter Piper Pizza?" Ha! Maybe next year, Jon should skip the mall and go play SkeeBall! -------------------------------------------- MATH by Connor and Anderson (Overheard at the kitchen table.) Andy--I have 16 cherries. Connor--Can I count them? Andy--Sure! Connor--You only have 8, Andy. Andy--I know. I had 16 but I ate one. Connor--Oh! The math teacher in me cringed. -------------------------------------------- While eating pizza, Anderson asked why we were taking pepperonis off of Kyndall's bites. Jon said that she probably wouldn't like them and they weren't good for her tummy. Andy said, "When Kyndall grows up to be a boy, she will like pepperonis." Hmmm. Yes, we had to have a talk about what little girls grow up to be! Ha! -------------------------------------------- Connor and I were talking and he kept mentioning "the humans". Finally I asked who the humans were. He said, "People like you and Dad." Oh. I asked, "And what are you?" He said, "Just a kid." I thought he meant that he was out of this world . . . that I could have agreed with! Too funny. I guess I should teach him the "adult" word, but sometimes it just makes me giggle to hear innocence. -------------------------------------------- Andy dressed up in a hat and shirt. He came into the kitchen and called himself a "Holy Cowboy". Oh my! Maybe I say "Holy Cow" a little too much, you think?!? -------------------------------------------- I was busy putting some stuff away when Connor came in to get me. He got distracted though and we just started chatting. After a few minutes I thought I heard Kyndall crying and awake from her nap. I said, "Is that Kyndall?" He said, "Yes! I have been trying to tell you that for 1,000 years, Mom." Oh, really?!? Gotta love the perspective and all that persistence over so many years. -------------------------------------------- 12/2008 Andy's version of Jingle Bells: "Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Oh what fun it is to ride in Santa's broken sleigh, hey!" And, he isn't taking to our corrections well, so I guess that is what the song will be for this year. Too fun! ------------------------------------------ Anderson asked for a whole apple at lunch instead of slices. He pointed to it and asked, "What's this?" I answered that it was the bottom of the apple. He turned to Connor and said, "Look, Connor! It's an apple butt." Oh my! And, I couldn't even roll on the floor since I had to remind him that the B-U-T-T word is rude. Ha! ------------------------------------------ We were getting in the car after shopping at Fry's this afternoon and the kids had been AWESOME . . . and so I said, "Where did I get such great kids from?" Rhetorical, of course, but Connor had an answer. He said, "From God . . . oh, and Dr. Sawyer." The boys have a fondness for my OB . . . they thought it was so funny when they got to go and listen to Kyndall's heartbeat and Dr. Sawyer said that I had a helicopter in my tummy. He pretty much has a celebrity status in our home. And, now, apparently he helps hand out great kids to lucky parents. I guess he kind of does. Go figure!
